The Butterfly Poem Squirrels

At first it is an egg
Pegged onto a nettle leaf
Then a caterpillar
And no other insect is freer
It eats so much
It sheds its skin more than twice
Then finally it’s in its cocoon
It will be out after a while
Quite soon
Then it comes out as a butterfly
It should be called a flutter fly

I think Squirrels are really cute
They are small and brown
They have a big bushy tail
That they wag up and down.

In the winter they collect nuts
They store them in their huts
And eat them when they want some
lunch.

The Hedgehog

I am a hedgehog, small but proud
When enemies attack, I don’t scream aloud
In with my face, out with my spines
You can’t hurt me, I think you’ll find.

No matter how big, I won’t be scared
Slow or fast, if you dare
You will be hurt and I’ll be ok
So remember this lesson and keep away.
